Final Fantasy XV Full PC Review Finally Released on Steam

Final Fantasy XV Full PC Review Finally Released on Steam

Last year, Square Enix finally released Final Fantasy XV PC on Steam last year. This is good news for PC gamers who really want the fifteenth series which was previously only released on consoles. Of course, one of the biggest JRPG game franchises in the world has better graphics on the PC platform.

You can change the graphics settings based on the capacity specifications you have. But, you could say Final Fantasy XV PC requires strong specifications. In terms of gameplay, you will not find turn based RPG gameplay in the previous series.

As a game that breaks old traditions, Final Fantasy XV certainly has its pros and cons. Especially in this game you will not find heroine.

Along the way you will continue to play as Noctis and his three best friends, namely Prompto, Ignis, and Gladiolus.

Actually there are other characters from these characters such as Aranea, but you can only use these characters at certain times.

Well, in this article we will discuss one of the series from the biggest JRPG game franchise in the world, Final Fantasy XV.

Plot and Story of Final Fantasy XV

In this fifteenth game, you will play as a protagonist named Noctis Lucis Caelum. Noctis is a prince and protector of Lucis who was chosen by Crystal, the legendary King. Noctis here goes to visit Altissia to meet Lunafreya, whom he will marry.

In his adventure, Noctis is accompanied by his three best friends, Prompto Argentum, Ignis Scientia, and also Gladiolus Amicitia. What distinguishes this Final Fantasy from the previous series is a wider universe.

Therefore, before the launch of the game a few years before the PC version was released, the Square Enix team released the CGI film and the anime. By watching the film, you will get the story behind it all.

On his way to Altissia, Noctis gets the bad news that Insomnia, the capital of Lucis, has fallen into the hands of Niflheim with his ruse that uses military force. On his way, Noctis not only faced Niflheim's troops, but also faced powerful monsters.

Graphics and Gameplay

One thing that has always been the advantage of the Final Fantasy series besides the storyline and plot is the graphics. Final Fantasy XV is designed using the Unreal Engine which is also used in several other famous games.

This makes the game's graphics provide every detail that matters. If you set your graphics settings to right-aligned, you'll enjoy how realistic the hair movements of each character are.

In this game you will feel a realistic sensation. Especially after your characters cast magic.

When you attack the enemy using magic, the surrounding environment will have an impact such as a scorched effect on the ground and also plants.

Likewise when you issue a summon. Unlike the previous Final Fantasy where almost every battle can issue a summon, in Final Fantasy XV PC, the summon will come out randomly and you can't set it. You can only issue a summon when you are told to press a button to issue a summon.

Just like magic, every attack issued by a summon has an effect on the surrounding environment. For example, when you summon Ramuh, your surroundings will be scorched due to the lightning released by the giant summon.

Then, if you take out Shiva, the whole environment will freeze and be hit with ice. This feel is what some Final Fantasy fans seem to dream of.

In addition, although you will run 4 characters along the way, the only character you can control is Noctis. Other characters will run automatically. However, Noctis can issue attacks with any of the other 3 characters.

Conclusion: Each Character's Episode DLC

Square also offers DLC that lets you play as a character other than Noctis. You can play as Prompto, Ignis, Gladiolus, even Ardyn. Of course, this game is presented for those of you who don't want more expectations, because there are several things that make you disappointed, especially in terms of the storyline.

For us this game feels less finished, and Square Enix seems to rush this game. Especially when Square broadcast the prototype of this game with the title Final Fantasy Versus XIII. A lot of things were omitted from what we saw in the trailer versus XIII.

Despite all its shortcomings, this game is still a Final Fantasy game that appears with all the splendor and depth of the story. To your disappointment, Final Fantasy XV will not disappoint you, and you still feel that this game is worth buying.
